Let it be known there have been some pretty challenging weeks for Polterguys and this has been one of worst! This week alone, my fingers started acting up again. My internet connection slows to a halt in the evenings and just a few days ago, my scanner/printer stopped receiving the wireless signal from our router. Yesterday, we managed to get it scanning again but it’s refused to print anything until a new replacement cartridge for colors arrive.
On streaks of bad luck like this, one really has two options. You can quit – decide that the universe MUST not want you to be working on whatever it is you’re doing, no matter how badly you want to. “It isn’t meant to be.”
But you can also keep trucking on because these are only temporary setbacks and you’re made of sterner stuff. If you are willing to admit that sometimes there are factors beyond your control that will conspire to delay your work, you can decide how to address them in rational ways.
I will probably get the other blog post up tomorrow. Apologies for the delay!
EDIT: Nope sorry, it’s not happening. My fingers are really messed up and the internet connection is just impossible to work with. I will try to get it up as soon as I can.

[wppb Polterguys Vol. 1 Book Progress=35] Progress on Polterguys Vol. 1 35%
With Chapter 2 completed behind the scenes, the book is now about a third of the way done. It’s been pretty exhilarating working and putting up pages not long after. I’m super relieved and grateful people are enjoying Polterguys so far. But maybe I should really save these sentiments for the conclusion, huh? After all, there’s still a TON of ground to cover. Speaking of which, a weirdo…er… gentleman appears!
Now last week, I made the mistake of plugging a post about webcomics which should actually be my topic for the week after this. I’m saving the entire post for a bunch of awesome female creators and their past and present works I enjoyed so please stay tuned for that. Below, I’ll talk about my first real exposure to manga and a daring group of Filipino artists that showed me the possibilities of comics and publishing.

The boys finally show up! It’s a bit of a slow burn on a weekly basis, I guess (which is why you should really consider buying the book when it comes out. *nudge nudge*) Thank you to everyone coming by, leaving comments and feedback so far. I will do my best to keep these pages rolling out. I continue My History with Manga & Comics blog post here.
